    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Monitors and provides status of parts requested from logs and stockroom on projects assigned.

  • Enters, updates, and validates data in various company databases

  • Expedites items being shipped to customer and repair sites.

  • Prepares the necessary documentation for items being shipped out of plant

  • Orders necessary tools and parts needed by the hardware deployment group.

  • Extracts various reports from Cognos, JIRA, Costpoint, and/or other reporting systems to evaluate priorities

  • Maintains operational reports that successfully reflect and aid key project and operational goals.

  • Keeps the work order database updated and accurate

  • Coordinates with purchasing to acquire needed parts for projects

  • Understanding of the bill of materials (BOM) along with a solid knowledge of part numbers and CAE USA Inc. part number philosophy.

  • Interfaces continuously with other Planners/Production Coordinators to determine changes to existing orders/plans on projects

  • Familiarization with engineering change notices (ECN), work order system, log system, and other CAE specific software tools.

  • Keeps parts list status spreadsheets up-to-date, review work order progress, find missing parts.

  • Analyzes EO type ECNs to determine proper manufacturing response

  • Log incoming packing notes received from Montreal

  • Maintain inventory integrity of the storerooms using the database and conduct cycle counts/replenishment activities as needed to ensure accuracy

  • Ability to perform work assignments with minimal supervision

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of production control and manufacturing processes

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or 2 year certification from a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in Production Control & Planning, Manufacturing or Simulation environment, preferred.

  • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with desire to learn new software packages.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

    Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

    Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • Able to work in a regular office environment.

  • Able to work to a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

  • Some travel may be required to assist with certain projects (e.g. Kaizens)
