ICONMA, LLC Medical Lab Technician V in United States
Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Medical Lab Technician V for their Nashville, TN location. Responsibilities:
Performing patient testing for busy Core Lab working Hematology, coagulation, chemistry and urinalysis.
Day To Day Responsibilities Of This Position And Description Of Project/Assignment
Performing patient testing, bone marrow collection, staining, processing
Hem, Coag, Urine, High volume, supporting mothers and babies, Oncology Floor, Dispatch or accessioning, a little Micro and respiratory testing
Support the validations team for a specialty coagulation lab which performs both clinical trials and diagnostic testing.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to complete assay validations.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
Minimum 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
ASCP/AMT certification is required.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Proficient with computers; high comfort level with Excel a plus.
High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
