Loads and Dynamics Engineer 2 Location: Long Beach, CA /Hybrid Duration: 12 Months Description: General Information Job Description: Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general supervision. Required skills/qualifications: Engineering materials analysis Numerical data analysis Aircraft stability & control, flying qualities Engineering programming languages Report authoring / documentation Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Aircraft operation experience FORTRAN, SQL languages Project/skills: Describe the project they will be working on: C-17 External Loads Size of the Team: 3 Does the statement of work have any limitations on physical attributes? (Heavy lifting, long hours on feet, confined spaces, harnesses that have certain weight limits, etc.) NO FOR LI – will they be operating any machinery? If so, what kind? NO Type of background you are looking for (education, # yrs experience, etc.): Bachelors degree in Engineering + 3 years’ experience, or a Master’s Degree in Engineering. Software skills required: Must have some experience with computer languages used for engineering. Preferred languages: C++, SQL, FORTRAN Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification.
