Firmware Software Engineer V Location: Sunnyvale (onsite) Duration: 9 Months Description: Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DSP/Audio Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer to join our team working on smart glasses. Job Responsibilities: Develop and optimize audio algorithms and firmware for embedded systems used in smart glass. Debug and troubleshoot audio software and firmware issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in audio processing and embedded systems Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of experience in developing and optimizing audio algorithms and firmware for embedded systems. Strong understanding of digital signal processing techniques and their implementation on embedded platforms Experience with C/C++ programming languages and familiarity with embedded operating systems such as FreeRTOS Experience with Tensilica Hifi DSP Knowledge of audio processing frameworks such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Audacity Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills Are you requiring a degree or specific certs for this role: Yes BA How many years of overall experience are you looking for: 7 and above Are you looking for someone with specific experience, programs: C, C++ MATLAB coding skills Proficiency in MathWorks tools (MATLAB & Simulink) Intimate knowledge of audio algorithm optimization and fine tuning Experience with audio algorithms such as echo/feedback cancellation, adaptive beamforming, noise cancellation and sounds scene detection. Good to have skills: Experience with acoustic simulations as well as measurement software and equipment. Knowledge of electroacoustic transducers and systems.
