Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aFinancial Analystto join theData Center Power & Control DivisioninWest Harford, CT.The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the complete compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial reports/data. Assist at all levels of management in understanding and interpreting financial results, budgets, and related financial information primarily through monthly financial reporting and departmental expense analysis. Assist with setup, training, and maintenance of DPC financial consolidation and reporting system(s). Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.

What Will You Do?

  • Assist in the consolidation and monthly financial analysis of multiple entities including sales and income reporting and communicate results and findings to management promptly.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly departmental expense reports. Identify trends and anomalies, determine fluctuation drivers, and prepare a summary of findings for review by top financial staff. Work with the accounting team to reclass abnormal findings identified as necessary.

  • Participate in all facets of the budgeting/forecasting process, working with finance staff to prepare detailed budgets and forecasts in accordance with the LNCA time frame, as well as budget to actual variance analysis throughout the fiscal year.

  • Preparation and distribution of the annual DPC and related entities' budget books and assist in the preparation of budget presentations.

  • Monthly review of assigned functional areas (i.e. Finance, HR, T&E, Engineering, etc.) and manage business partner relationships with functional area leaders.

  • Assist with setup, reporting validation, training, and maintenance of the DPC financial consolidation and reporting systems: Planful, Spotlight, and PowerBI. Maintain data in various financial reporting systems.

  • Assist with integration, training, and support of new acquisitions as necessary.

  • Create and update process documentation in the Finance and Accounting areas.

  • Prepare ad hoc reports and data requests as required.

  • Perform other similar and related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required; a Strong GPA is preferred.

    Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience is required.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and financial acumen is required.

  • The ability to independently own a project with little guidance is required.

  • A strong ability to analyze data and trends and make recommendations is required.

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are required.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (and other MS Office tools) is required.

  • A positive attitude, solid work ethic, and values are required.

  • Good presentation skills and the ability to communicate at various levels of management are required.
