Caris Life Sciences Facilities Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift Nights ($1000 Sign-on Bonus) in United States

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with patch and paint of offices and Lab interior walls as assigned.

  • Assist with maintaining and monitoring all facilities, equipment and amenities.

  • Assist with repair and maintaining onsite plumbing.

  • Change of all filters for HVAC as required.

  • Furniture moves, including office and employee relocations.

  • Coordinate and manage facilities’ vendors.

  • Change interior and exterior light bulbs at multiple site locations

  • Perform as needed office set-ups including furniture assembly, carpet cleaning, hanging dry erase boards.

  • Inspect and maintain outside property,

  • Assist with company events including tours, EAC events, grand openings, inspections.

  • Oversee Janitor Service with daily trash removal, restocking, cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning exterior entryway, etc.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Conditions of Employment: Individuals must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of related maintenance experience.

  • Ability to present self in a professional manner to others.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate well with other coworkers, management and company vendors with professionalism and respect.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, alone and in a team.

  • Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.).

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent management and organizational skills.

  • Associate degree or relevant training certificate and 3-5 years of related maintenance experience.

Physical Demands

  • Must possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • May have exposure to blood-borne pathogens, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, fumes and bio-hazardous material/chemical including formalin in the lab environment.

  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail. Ability to pass a visual color discrimination test.

  • Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion.

  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds.

  • All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Other

  • This position requires some evenings, weekends and/or holidays

  • Shift:Monday-Friday (6:00pm-2:00am)
