As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist: Data Center you will complete tasks in resourceful and effective ways. The ideal candidate will work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

This position requires a strong knowledge of general maintenance duties will include scheduling and coordinating contractors and vendors in areas of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, plumbing, and arranging furniture and partitions.

This position requires an on-call rotation, of 14 days per month including weekends.

This position will be filled to work at our Allen, TX campus.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Scheduling contractors and vendors in general maintenance and repair duties including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions.

  • Assist employees with internal relocations by moving and arranging furniture, partitions, and other equipment according to specific directions.

  • Assists other Facilities Maintenance Specialists or outside contractors with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and servicing.

  • Maintains schedule of required maintenance and inspection of building equipment and systems.

  • Assists with scheduling and training of less experienced facilities maintenance specialists.

  • Oversees specialized outside contractors.

  • Performs tasks that utilize formal training in one or more trades.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working within a datacenter environment, including working with building automation systems.

  • 1 year of working within HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical maintenance within a large campus environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% to attend JHA meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Facilities management certification.

  • HVAC or electrical license.
