Compensation: Up to $350k (OTE) - plus benefits, commensurate with experience

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales to lead growth in the manufacturing inspection, quality control, and critical infrastructure monitoring markets. This role will focus on engaging factory heads, quality leaders, and infrastructure managers to drive the adoption of our clients' groundbreaking computer vision solutions.
This high-impact position offers a clear pathway to VP and executive roles as the company scales. You will play a pivotal role in shaping growth strategy, building a high-performing sales organization, and driving market leadership.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for manufacturing and infrastructure verticals.
Own the end-to-end sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure—to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
Identify emerging opportunities and adapt strategies to capitalize on market trends.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including factory heads, quality assurance leaders, and infrastructure managers.
Present and articulate the value of Akridata's AI-powered solutions in addressing operational pain points and enhancing efficiency.
Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Collaboration & Product Alignment: Partner with product management and executive leadership to align offerings with customer needs and market demands.
- Provide actionable feedback on market trends, customer pain points, and competitor activities to guide product innovation.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.
- Establish scalable sales processes, training programs, and performance metrics to support growth.
Event Participation & Networking: Represent Akridata at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to build brand visibility and generate leads.
Qualifications:
Proven success in B2B sales within manufacturing inspection, quality control, or critical infrastructure monitoring.
Experience selling solutions from companies like Cognex, Keyence, Omron, or similar platforms.
Deep understanding of manufacturing workflows, operational challenges, and how AI/computer vision can address them.
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with critical infrastructure sectors (e.g., railroads, aerospace) and the application of AI/computer vision solutions.
Experience selling AI-driven automation solutions for inspection and quality control processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
Proven ability to lead, scale, and mentor high-performing sales teams.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; technical or engineering background is a plus.
