RELX INC Business Development Manager - Regulatory Compliance in Wellington, New Zealand

Our Sales team is responsible for driving digital culture. Most importantly, you will use your passion for sales and new technology to support the Rule of Law.

As a Business Development Manager, your role involves expanding market presence in regulatory compliance and driving new business acquisition through effective prospecting and closing skills.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager Team Lead, this is a permanent full-time role to be based in New Zealand either in Auckland or Wellington with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance. There will be occasional travel required to Sydney (Head office) and other states at least 3 times a year and on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving new business acquisition and market penetration of LexisNexis Compliance products and Solutions.

  • Fostering meaningful connections with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts.

  • Identifying and developing sales opportunities using prescribed sales methodology.

  • Collaborating with the wider team.

  • Presenting solution-based sales through demonstrations and active communication.

  • Managing high-level account management and client relationships.

  • Negotiating with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Writing proposals and other communications to describe business requirements and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Possess a background in Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated sales experience – preferably in Business Development in the Compliance. solutions market / software solutions / SAAS.

  • Possess a hunter/sales attitude and ability to identify prospects, end to end sales cycle experience.

  • Possess high-level presentation and communication skills.

  • Be experienced in solution selling and high-level account management.

  • Understand the Legal and Regulatory compliance sector in New Zealand

  • Have highly developed computer skills including CRM and MS tools.

  • Desire to learn and grow within a solid team of professionals.
