Sartorius Bioprocessing Chromatography Application Specialist - Boston/Northeast Territory in United States
Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated, entrepreneurially spirited professional to help fuel the growth of our Chromatography Bioprocess Solutions portfolio in the Boston/Northeast Territory (Remote position). The incumbent in this key role will be a trusted business partner to our customers in the biopharmaceutical arena. For our Bioprocessing Solutions Portfolio we are looking for a Chromatography Application Specialist Downstream Technology homebased in the Northeast. In this role you are the technical expert in resin and membrane-based Chromatography. Besides giving technical support, you actively engage customers and Sales Representatives to maximize market share and revenue generation.
What you will accomplish together with us:
You will generate visibility and customer awareness and advise local customers on Sartorius' innovative chromatography technologies.
Technical and process-related support for external and internal customers.
You will be accountable for the customer experience with the product (e.g. advice on applications).
One of your tasks will be to conduct technical trainings, experiments and demonstrations in theory and practice for external and internal customers.
You will conduct process optimizations at customer site.
Analyze the market and identify unmet needs in the product line change.
On an as needed basis, you will participate in key conferences and give presentations.
In this role, you will work closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
Perform other related duties as required.
What will convince us:
You have completed a bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline such as Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology or comparable qualification in the field of life science. Completion of master's degree or PHD in a Life Sciences discipline a plus.
You have a minimum 3+ years professional experience with process chromatography hardware, systems, and components in the biopharma industry.
You possess hands-on experience with purification of biomolecules using chromatography, ideally with both membrane- and resin-based technologies.
Knowledge of continuous downstream processing desirable
We Value:
Expect up to 20% travel.
Working experience in resin selection, Column packing and in GMP environment is a plus.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements are a plus.
High technical understanding and ability to provide proper & fast solutions.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base salary offered for the position is $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 depending on experience.
