What you’ll do
As a member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for managing key financial processes, ensuring the governance and the accuracy of our financial records, and managing a team of finance professionals aligned to support these efforts. This role reports directly to the CFO and is expected to require a lot of cross-functional collaboration throughout the company.
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting team by overseeing their work, organizing their priorities, providing feedback, coaching and being involved in all performance and compensation decisions for this team (in coordination with the CFO)
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Ensure activities in accounting department are organized in line with statutory deadlines and internal reporting deadline.
Responsible for statutory compliance and taxation, and controls and executes more complex accounting tasks when needed.
Coordinate and oversee the preparation of all regulatory reporting (Serbia, UK and USA) in compliance with the necessary reporting standards. This includes managing and complying with local and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and any reporting requirements by creditors.
Oversee and support month-end and year-end financial close processes (all entities).
Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Maintain the accounting systems and tools utilized by the Finance team across all corporate entities.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining Devtech’s accounting procedures and best practices in terms of quality control with respect to financial transactions and financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and Devtech’s Code of Conduct.
Develop, document and maintain business processes and accounting policies that preserve and strengthen internal controls and conform to Devtech’s Code of Conduct, in particular ethical, integrity and confidentiality standards.
Responsible for managing and coordinating work of external accountants.
Communicating with clients, tax authorities, auditors, consultants and other relevant institutions.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Previous experience with leadership or supervision
ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualifications
Experience with international accounting standards, rules, procedures and taxation is considered a plus
Experience with external auditors and accountants – international consolidations and audits
Strong MS Dynamics knowledge (or similar ERP system)
Excellent accounting software experience – Business Central, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
Strong MS Excel skills
Complex problem solving and strong communication skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration in similar or larger size companies
Independence in work and result oriented approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
