Emerson Senior/ Checkpoint and Compliance Administrator in Singapore

Job Summary:

If you are looking for a job opportunity in the Trade Compliance function, Emerson has an exciting position for you! We are hiring a Senior/ Checkpoint and Compliance Administrator role to take care of export and import compliance requirements for the Business Unit within Asia Pacific including China. The key responsibility includes supporting sales and operation on Compliance, Checkpoint, and Logistics requirements.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Act as point of contact for Business Unit (BU) Trade Compliance issues and activities.

  • Evaluate and interpret all Asia Pacific government Export and Import regulations including US & EU pertaining to movement in and out of each country where Valves Asia Pacific Organization currently does business.

  • Monitor compliance with regulations with regard to Embargoed and Sanctioned countries including Nuclear Sales.

  • Assist corporate audit program as and when required.

  • Execute new processes and update procedures for improvement to ensure seamless execution and that all internal staff members are aware of and adhering to the given process.

  • Work with the sales support team to ensure checkpoints comply with Terms & Conditions, Due diligence, and the buyout process is followed through.

  • Other application such as Chamber Country of Origin (COO), custom export permit for controlled goods and etc.

  • Update the product compliance values (Export Control Classification Number, Harmonized System Code& Country of Origin) into business system.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of a personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involved in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or any related fields.

  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in a related industry, preferably a Compliance/Logistics/Supply Chain background.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Action-oriented with a strong focus on driving the process and procedure implementation
