Managing Director, Real Estate Finance
Asian Investment Banking Division, Real Estate Finance Department
Responsibilities
To lead Asia Investment Banking Division (AIBD) Real Estate Finance team members for Japanese corporate transactions and work closely with local Japanese corporate relationship managers within the region to provide leadership and a coordinated approach to client coverage in the APAC region.
To create and execute Japanese corporate real estate business strategy with a strategic focus in the region.
To work closely with Japanese corporate and Investment banking, and AIBD senior business management and Japanese corporate credit offices to provide clear strategic direction, identify key themes for the real estate market
To implement monitoring and internal control frameworks/processes for the real estate finance business as First Line of Defence
By embracing change, be a good team player; train/supervise junior staff with proper succession planning
To build relationship with internal and external customers/stakeholders and earn trust by delivering quality work
Requirements
Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, a degree from a Japanese university or equivalent required to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC to promote business growth strategies for real estate finance business and to act as a key contact person for the transactions
At least ten years of real estate related finance origination experience
Excel skills to handle several spreadsheets properly (pivot table, vlookup, etc.) and Powerpoint/Word skills to create various reports
A team player who is able to work/collaborate well with various stakeholders in a large Tokyo-based Japanese organization with adequate communication skills and strong sense of responsibility
Presentation skills to effectively communicate with internal overseas stakeholders including management members of the Bank
Accuracy of work to complete the duties to support management and the other marketing staff
Understanding and willingness to work closely with the relevant Japanese Corporate primary offices and stakeholders in Japan
Good understanding and business experience towards/with Japanese financial institutions
