JOB SUMMARY
Has responsibility to lead , plan and supervise the functional activities that are related for the hubbing/warehousing; shipping and related support functions for specified customers and/or programs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead ; direct and supervise functional scope and activities in order to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency operationally. Please refer below for more granular details of essential/key duties and R&R
· Manage & communicate efficiencies and metrics of stakeholders specific operations in sufficient detail as to allow adequate control, communication and improvement opportunities.
· Ensures that all internal and external quality requirements are being met and institutes corrective action wherever necessary.
· Lead & drive in the development and support of quality, cost, and schedule conformance targets for stakeholders specific operations and communication
· Manage the publication and dissemination of all stakeholders required documentation.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS : KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Strong knowledge of Warehousing/Contract Logistics operations and industry.
· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
· Knowledge of Trade Compliance elements will be an added advantage; including knowledge of international direct
and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
· Strong proficiency in determining warehousing/hubbing & logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
· Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum commercial footprint.
· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
· Strong and convincing communication skills.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials or Supply Chain Management.
· At least 4 years experience in related area.
· Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
Essential/Key Duties and R&R Addendum:
Hub/Warehousing/Contract Logistics:
Lead defined solutions from an inventory perspective to ensure correct execution of operational level
Recommend changes that will eliminate or greatly reduce inaccuracies from reoccurring.
Ensure the root cause of discrepancies and other related inventory errors are being identified and resolved
Drive process improvements to reduce costs
Initiate, define and review documentation of processes and relevant projects.
Support any audits requested by customer
Ensure DN creation / PGR / PGI activities for Principal / Principal Site transactions for Hub sales / hub returns / part rework / sorting conversions is completed on time and will help out when necessary.
Drive process to set up Hub vendors in SAP by working with cross functional team
For future EDI development, understanding functional SAP process flows and facilitate UAT(User Acceptance Testing), drive IT development for process and / or documentation
Review 3PL yearly performance KPIs/QBRs
Ensures the warehouse billing invoices are correctly validated
Review and approve month end cost accruals prepared by direct report to finance for closing
Logistics/Freighting:
Lead defined solutions from a logistics/freighting/transportation perspective to ensure correct execution of operational level
Recommend changes that will eliminate or greatly reduce inefficiencies and/or inaccuracies from reoccurring.
Drive process improvements to reduce costs
Support any audits requested by customer
Review LSP yearly performance KPIs/QBRs
Ensures the logistics/freight & brokerage billing invoices are correctly validated
Review and approve month end cost accruals prepared by direct report to finance for closing
General:
Responsible in direct report’s yearly appraisal. Responsible in determining yearly performance KPI of direct report
Knowledge / Experience Requirements:
Warehouse management - Manage 3PL KPIs performance (inventory counts, commit shipment, etc..) and cost
Freight forwarding (inbound/outbound) - Understand the market players and competitive landscape to drive the best route solution on different condition (air vs sea), and consistently drive cost reduction opportunity for the business.
Custom regulations - COO, knowledge about different countries custom regulations.
