Position holder provides Leadership to the ASEAN HR team, and is responsible for all areas of HR management and services across Parker’s operating countries in the ASEAN region, i.e. Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam, .

He/she will be expected to actively promote a culture where Parker’s team members are continuously developed, experience Empowerment and are willing to display highest levels of Engagement. Major focus areas are the Value Streams of Parker’s HR Vision as outlined under “Roles & Responsibilities”. The Country HR Manager, ASEAN will be a member of the Parker ASEAN senior leadership and Asia Pacific HR leadership teams.

R oles & Responsibilities:

Safety:

· Fosters a Zero Incident Culture by supporting pertinent preventive and corrective measures.

Total Rewards:

· Collaborates with the Total Rewards team to determine position grades and competitive compensation & benefits packages, aligned with applicable Corporate, AP and country policies.

· Manages Merit Increase reviews and Annual Incentives, aligned with approved processes and applicable governance.

· Mastery of HR data analytics & dashboards.

· Ensures HR data accuracy and integrity.

Strategy & Structure:

· Supports Strategic Positioning.

· Fosters a Culture of Kaizen through continuous productivity and quality improvement.

· Conducts Comparative Staffing Analyses and supports factory automation projects.

· Co-facilitates OD / POP / Lean kaizens (including but not limited to the HR function) and supports implementation and execution of opportunities identified.

· Ensures compliance with legal requirements and applicable Parker policies & protocols in case of necessary restructuring / resource alignment requirements.

Talent Management:

· Ensures full application of and compliance with Parker’s Talent Central tools.

· Leads Talent Development including Succession Planning across ASEAN, ensuring consistency and an inclusive & proactive approach. Initiates and drives effective actions to develop Talent and maintain a robust talent pipeline for future success.

· Performance Management: Drives performance management in ASEAN, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with business priorities.

· Recruitment & Selection: Harmonizes procedures at ASEAN regional level with appropriate selection tools. Establishes standard labor contract models in accordance with applicable labor law and Parker’s policies.

· Employer Value Proposition: Establishes and maintains a Region-/Country-wide image of our company as an Employer of Choice by using respective platforms and networks.

· Learning & Development: Initiates, co-ordinates & supports pertinent actions and interventions.

Engaged People:

· Promotes Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across the ASEAN region.

· Facilitates the use of engagement surveys.

· Champions activities to maintain an Empowerment and Engagement culture across ASEAN.

· Champions team member communication at all levels.

Compliance & Labor Relations:

· Leads all aspects of Labor (including Union) Relations.

· Ensures compliance with applicable Data Privacy & Protection legislation.

· Ensures that Corporate & Asia Pacific HR policies are correctly and consistently applied across the ASEAN region, and that country-level adjustments -if any- are aligned.

· Ensures that both company and statutory reporting requirements are met properly and on time.

Education & Experience

  • Preferably 15 or more years of experience as a Human Resource professional, with at least 10 or more years of experience in a leadership role.

  • Previous work experience to include experience as Human Resource Generalist with solid knowledge in HR Specialist disciplines such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning and Development and all aspects of Talent Management.

  • Track record of supporting acquisition integration preferred.

  • Pertinent university / Masters degree (or international equivalent) preferred, ideally in –but not limited to- the areas of Human Resources, Psychology and/or Business/Management.

  • Sound business acumen combined with expert-level knowledge of and passion for Parker's HR Value Streams (Safety, Total Rewards, Strategy & Structure, Talent Management and Engagement) and related processes and tools.

  • Experienced, seasoned, and humble leader with a track record of making others successful.

  • Willingness and ability to demonstrate Parker values. High professional and personal integrity, and strong sense of confidentiality.

  • Possesses the analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper opportunities and solutions.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Must be an innovator and embrace Lean Enterprise and POP principles and practices.
