MUFG Analyst/Associate, Loan Agency in Singapore

Middle Office Department provides centralized services to Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB) coverage and product teams to enable business growth and seamless client experience. The department comprises of a wide range of cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Client Service & Data Management, Credit & Account Management, Client Onboarding, KYC, Regional Reporting, and Agency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Agency Head of Department (HOD) in managing the various Agent Bank roles arising from mandated transactions.

  • Be comfortable and confident in liaising with various stakeholders, ie. Borrower, Sponsors and Lenders.

  • Coordinate discussions amongst stakeholders and advisers, eg. Lawyers, engineers.

  • Review legal documentation and perform loan and interest roll-over calculations for the stakeholders.

  • Be able to manage tasks with little assistance and resolve issues arising from portfolio of transactions independently.

  • Coordinate with Operations for loan related payments.

  • Work in partnership with various departments in the Bank to support delivering seamless transactions to the customer. Departments including but not limited to various product teams, Operations and Credit.

  • Support HOD in internal controls and AIBD initiatives from time to time.

  • Support in internal and external audits by coordinating activities for the department.

  • Comply with relevant MAS regulations and applicable MUFG group policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified

  • Degree in BBA, Accounting/Commerce or Law is preferred

  • Good knowledge of industry standards relating to structured transactions and legal documentation required.

  • Possess a good grasp of various financing structures (PF related is a plus) and excellent multi-tasking skills, with an eye for detail.

  • Able to work under pressure on complex transactions and working towards multiple deadlines.

  • Has a strong awareness of bank compliance and internal controls.

  • Good familiarity with Word and Excel applications.

  • A highly organized self-starter and strong team player that values team over individual goals

  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and consensus building skills

For Analyst:

  • Minimum 1 year of related or relevant experience in agency, legal documentation and/or loan administration

  • Minimum 3 years of banking or related industry experience

For Associate:

  • At least 5 years of related or relevant experience in agency, legal documentation and/or loan administration

  • Minimum 5 years of banking or related industry experience
