Emerson Senior Production Engineer in Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from technicians.
They are responsible for their own safety, therefore must respect EHS regulations. They must respect and ensure adherence to all Emerson trade compliance rules.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Responsible for developing, modifying and maintaining manufacturing of cabinets.
Initiate and develop solutions to problems that affect the yield.
Alignment to Assembly Schedule and execute projects as agreed.
Apply Lean methodologies for reducing cost of manufacturing by eliminating non-value-added operations.
Conduct industrial engineering activities: time study, line layout and capacity study.
Develop and ensure that manufacturing documentation, cabinet books are accurate and maintained
Provide technical support in technicians training.
Initiate, coordinate and lead other functional groups on engineering or other issues relating to manufacturing operations.
Apply routine engineering and statistical tools and other problem solving methodologies in resolving the manufacturing problems.
Provide reports to management on the performance of production operations.
Develop new process and optimize the current process to improve productivity and reduce cost.
Continually evaluate and improve the flow of materials and products through manufacturing processes - Continually review key process indicators for potential improvement.
Have a very good understanding of international workmanship standards for mechanical assembly / wiring and be able to train wiring / assembly technicians when required.
Develop a close working relationship with our integrator partners.
Implementation of Dammam iCenter’s IMS processes/documentation as & when required throughout the project.
Responsible of cabinets integration
Generate integration and assembly schedule and plan.
Generate integration progress report.
Reviewing and maintain projects integration documents (BOM, Drawings)
Mange and supervise project technicians.
Review and upload BOM/Drawings
Follow up material ordering and delivery.
Coordination with other functions like logistic, planning, procurement and quality
Coordination with project team (Project manger and lead engineer)
Conduction powering up the cabinets.
Support Pre-FAT/FAT and testing activities.
Maintain project execution through the system (Oracle) till closing the sales order.
Develop/Implement new process and optimize the current process to improve productivity and reduce cost
Capability to work as quality engineer.
Capability to work in multi projects and tasks.
Conduct Internal Audits and support external Audits and facilities approval.
Who you are?
Languages: English (advanced); Knowledge of other languages represents a plus
PC skills: MS Office, Internet
Capable of engaging at the most senior levels within Emerson and main key customers and inspectors (strong communication skills)
Skillful application of contracting development and negotiations
For this Role, You Will Need:
College/University Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or instrumentation
Graduate degree is a plus
5 to 10 plus years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Knowledge of Oracle is Advantageous
