Robert Half Project Manager II (Contractor) in Virtual, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager II (Contractor) in Pennsylvania. This role is virtual, enabling you to work from anywhere within the state. As a Project Manager, you'll be integral to planning and managing business projects, ensuring they are completed on time, meet client needs, and stay within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage business projects from inception to completion

• Understand and determine the objectives of the client or company

• Develop detailed project timelines, cost estimates, and resource allocation plans

• Create a comprehensive plan for each project stage, including selecting supporting staff and leading a project team

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors for essential materials and/or services

• Monitor project stages to ensure they are progressing on time, within budget, and in accordance with company processes and quality standards

• Report on project progress to senior managers and clients, providing regular updates and addressing any issues promptly

• Identify potential risks and devise strategies to manage and avoid delays

• Handle materials handling processes and oversee the budget process.

This role requires a strong grasp of planning, negotiation, and quality standards, as well as an understanding of project progress and timeline management. Requirements • Proficient in planning and executing project timelines

• Experienced in handling materials and resources effectively

• Possess strong knowledge and understanding of budget processes

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software or similar project management tools

• Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and other stakeholders

• Ability to oversee project progress and make necessary adjustments

• Capable of maintaining high quality standards throughout the project lifecycle

• Experience in managing suppliers and maintaining good supplier relationships

• Strong understanding of quality standards and their application in project management.
