Google Import Classification Program Manager (English, Spanish) in Mexico

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience working in an in-house trade compliance classification role.
Experience classifying high-tech, telecommunication commodities.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Logistics, and Legal stakeholders.
Experience with Brazil NVE and Ex-tarifário processes.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with frequent and rapid priority changes.
Ability to communicate in Portuguese fluently in order to effectively communicate in this role that requires cross-functional partnership with teammates and external suppliers in Brazil.
As a member of the Global Import Classification team, you will provide technical expertise on import classification analysis, provide operational import compliance guidance, develop classification systems, and ensure that imports meet corporate/regulatory compliance standards to the LATAM region.

Manage and oversee all aspects of the Latin America import classification program and serve as a classification subject matter expert for the Latin America region, providing global classification support as needed.
Publish applicable classification operational metrics and partner with the business to develop and implement solutions for identified classification opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders as well as with suppliers to obtain requisite product information needed to perform accurate import and export classifications.
Provide classification guidance and clearance instructions to customs brokers and exercise requisite oversight.
Partner with trade compliance legal to address any Latin America trade compliance queries/actions.
