Ford Motor Company Driver Information UI Architect in Mexico

As Driver Information UI Architect you will collaborate with a global and cross functional team for discussing and defining the instrument cluster/HUD digital displays content and interaction principles and managing all HMI documentation and deliveries for the assigned project in support to implementation with suppliers.

You will participate on the following activities:

  • To develop cluster/HUD digital display interactions which will include understanding existing and new features and how they will logically be implemented in existing digital instrument clusters or all new designs.

  • Support engineers creating interactive models to demonstrate the cluster/HUD HMI interaction.

  • Work closely with a graphics designer to deliver production graphics to the component supplier.

  • To work with a translation team who develop the language translation tables for each program.

  • Work with feature owners and Driver Information Core team to develop new features that will become part of the cluster digital display design.

  • Track the development of the HMI work on a program and validate that the interaction and graphics are design intent on vehicle hardware.

  • Ensure the agreed HMI deliverables are properly released in time

Required:

  • Proficient in English

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Design and/or Electrical/Robotics/Systems-Software Engineering, Former UX / UI / Interaction Designer, Automotive Systems Design, or Human Machine Interface. Former cluster/HUD design HMI or design and release (D&R) experience or other cluster related background is preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of Laboral experience (Minimum 3 years in Product Development area)

  • Knowledge in Electrical and/or HMI Subsystems, UX (User Experience), UI (User Interface)

  • Familiarity with product development since design concept to production and product development timelines

  • Strong written and oral skills is key to working well as part of the team. Presenting to higher levels of managements will be required from time to time.

  • Project management and planning skills.

  • Proficient on Microsoft Office & Adobe SC Suite.

  • Interested in Product development and Digital Design

Desired:

  • 3D modelling software knowledge

  • Previous experience working with a design team developing graphics for digital displays is a plus

  • Tools domain such as Axure, Figma or other desired. Jira domain preferred

  • Driver Assistance, digital Technologies and Design Thinking knowledge is a plus
