Context

Oracle has a rich history in database technology and for many, the name itself is synonymous with database. Our customers run many different versions of the Oracle Database in a number of different configurations across many different deployments including on-premise, in the Oracle Cloud or in “Oracle Cloud at Customer”. In order to fuel our current and future growth within our Belux Consulting Practice, we are currently planning to hire one experienced DBA (Cloud) Expert (experienced consultant) for our team based in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE – DBA Consultant/Architect

Your role will be to work with Oracle customers to assist them with their database requirements. This could involve anything from a day’s assistance on resolving a specific issue right through to a project lasting many months to design and implement a new high availability database cluster. No two customers are the same so this role will be interesting and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to work on some of Oracle biggest implementations, running mission critical applications.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Oracle DBA and with cross-platform migration

• Demonstrable knowledge of Oracle 19c Database administration

• Practical knowledge and experience of High Availability solutions

• Proficient knowledge of Oracle Database design and database server infrastructure

• Database Security (DB security )

• Experience with Database Performance & Tuning

• Experience with Multi-Tenant Option and in-Memory

• Oracle Real application Clusters (RAC)

• Knowledge of Oracle ExaData and Infrastructure Design

• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN

• Experience with Exadata, DevOps & Agile methodology would be a great asset

• Solid Cloud knowledge; experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will be a real asset

• Fluency in French & English
