Job Title: Sr. Spec. Aircraft Maintenance (Site Lead)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for management of the entire independent site consisting of more than one job family. Responsible for providing site leadership to a customer-focused team committed to increased quality and productivity. Provides direction on activities and behaviors in accordance with organization goals.. Ensures quality service and effective operations support for the site's internal and external customers. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, task, and solutions. Provides guidance to site on development, performance, and productivity issues. Monitors and ensures proper use of assets. Reports to Program Management Office on site productivity.
Responsible for day-to-day on-site program management, personnel, and issues.
Interfaces directly with host nation squadron and occasionally wing level military leadership to understand and help clarify customer goals and objectives and communicate same to Program Management staff. Acts as the primary conduit of communication between the customer and Program Management on site.
Responsible for the good working relations between customer and L3 at the site. Manages customer expectations by making sound business decisions in accordance with the contract, and advising Program Management of any customer requests which fall outside of the existing contract.
Responsible for keeping L-3 program leadership appraised of OCONUS activities that will impact cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Assists as needed with aircraft maintenance activities.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance or similar field of study and five (5) years of related work experience or ten (10) years of related work experience.
Military experience managing and coordinating aircraft maintenance operations in a management, officer or senior enlisted rank, capacity is desired.
Must hold a FAA A&P license with Inspection Authorization.
Must hold an active DOD Secret clearance.
