The Supervisor of Accounting will supervise accountants and other accounting staff and perform various accounting and finance functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops relationships and provides direct support to the financial leadership team and staff at business units

  • Reviews and posts journal entries

  • Develops monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Performs a wide variety of general finance functions, including year-end schedules and reports

  • Prepares monthly balance sheet and income statement trend analyses for management

  • Prepares monthly reporting package

  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues/needs for business units by partnering with financial analysts and leadership

  • Ensures monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately

  • Supports audit by providing information and answers to auditors

  • Meets operational accounting standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements

  • Provides and maintains excellent customer service to hub management and site staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred

  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in general accounting

  • 0 to two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferred

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Proficient in using MS Excel, Project, Visio, Word, and Access.

  • Time management skills and ability to work independently and get results.

  • Ability to adapt to and handle change, as well as have the ability to multi‐task and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

  • Solid interpersonal skills with both customers and co‐workers.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday

  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of their workday

  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as, incoming and outgoing communications via the computer and/ or mobile devices

  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates

  • The work environment is an open room with other associates and noise from others will be part of the regular workday
