Opportunity

The Senior Analyst, IT, Financial, Pricing, & People Owner in Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operations of critical data assets across our organization. This role plays a pivotal part in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, ensuring that it remains a valuable strategic asset for our global company as a manufacturer.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements data governance policies, standards, and procedures in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Classifies data according to its sensitivity and importance to the organization, facilitating appropriate access controls and security measures.

  • Maintains an up-to-date inventory of all data assets, including data sources, repositories, and data flows, to ensure visibility and accountability.

  • Defines and enforces access control mechanisms to restrict data access based on user roles and permissions, while ensuring data availability to authorized personnel.

  • Collaborates with the IT security team to develop and implement data security strategies, including encryption, data masking, and auditing, to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access.

  • Oversees data maintenance activities, including data cleansing, data archiving, and data backup and recovery, to ensure data accuracy, availability, and reliability.

  • Monitors data operations and performance to proactively identify and address issues related to data storage, processing, and transmission.

  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) by implementing data privacy controls and supporting data subject access requests.

  • Collaborates with external vendors and service providers to ensure data-related services and technologies meet company standards and expectations.

  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of data assets, data lineage, and data definitions to support data discovery and decision-making processes.

  • Develops and maintains data disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime in the event of a data-related incident.

  • Conducts training sessions and awareness programs for employees regarding data ownership, data handling best practices, and data governance principles.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field required, with a preference towards a master’s degree and/or relevant certifications.

  • 3+ years of experience in information technology, preferably in positions involving data governance or data management.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations.

  • Knowledge of data management tools and technologies.
