Liability Administrator

The Role:

Reporting to the Liability Adjusting Team Leader, you’ll provide support to the Liability Adjusting teams within Liability Services (Motor, Employers, Public and Property Damage). The role of the Liability Administrator is a split role covering Work in Progress (WIP) management, providing support in order to create more capacity for the Liability Adjusters to manage their own caseloads. You will be the pivotal point of contact for day-to-day enquiries from colleagues and clients and have an eye for detail in terms of data accuracy.

What the role will entail:

  • Administration of incoming correspondence.

  • Produce correspondence, reports, and other documentation; files documents, sends and receives facsimile transmissions, etc.

  • Provide telephone support.

  • Process invoices and billings.

  • You will also need to assist with general administration tasks as and when required.

Communication and accuracy are key with the ability to effectively deliver information to ensure client needs and processes are understood and implemented. The ability to deal with a variety of tasks is imperative, as well as the confidence to play a role in driving best practice and accuracy.

You should have/demonstrate :

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and its basic functionality would be a benefit.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your daily workload

  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Good organisational and admin skills

  • An ability to multi-task and work to service level agreements

  • Be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-changing work environment

  • Willing to maintain existing competencies and acquire new competencies as necessary

  • Responsive to change and be able to adapt to new processes and procedures as required

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability at all times

  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
