Job Description
General Program Support
• Ensure all communications and requests (eg. ECR, ECP, ECM, MCM) between COMAC and Safran Cabin are communicated to the right parties and systems promptly
• Follow-up on all communications and requests until the agreement between the parties is reached
• Support all the work to meet customer and internal KPIs.
• Upon request, provide coordination support to the Safran Cabin OSS team in China
• Ensure all deliverables and documents are uploaded to COMAC systems on time
• Coordinate relevant meetings and capture all meeting minutes and actions between Safran Cabin and COMAC teams
• Support the interprétation and translation between Chinese and English during all meetings and any documentation when necessary
• Work closely with attribute leaders, quality, engineering, contracts, sales, and program teams to help facilitate the program's objectives
• Perform as an individual contributor but with the mindset of how one's work impacts the entire team
Engineering Support
• Support all translation and coordination related but not limited to the design, development, qualification, certification, and testing
• Support all technical discussions, joint development phases, and design reviews at Safran Cabin and COMAC sites
• Establishment of Minutes of Meetings and follow-up of action items for all engineering meetings
• Collaborate with team leadership to determine work prioritization
• Explain engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical information to COMAC, SADRI and other cross-functional teams
Quality Support
• Support the Quality team with the coordination, communication and follow-up for all FRR, QDN, and SCAN found at the COMAC FAL from open to closure
• Support the Quality team's RCCA to provide needed information at COMAC FAL
• Concern resolution with engineering and attribute teams
OSS Support
• Coordinate with OSS team to resolve NCR/FRR from initiation to closure
• Support OSS & HB in Rework Cost Validation (RCV) negotiations with COMAC
• Align with Quality team and act as final authority on determination of liability prior to RCV negotiations with COMAC
• Defend HB position in negotiations with COMAC to ensure the highest return for OSS rework
Complementary Description
Due to the language, culture, and working methods, it is necessary to have a native on-site support to work closely, properly, and efficiently with our customers while representing the company and its interests.
The Project Manager (PM) serves as the primary contact point for all communication and coordination support at COMAC's sites for all engineering, program, quality, and customer support within the Safran Cabin Company's COMAC program.
The PM will be hired through the Safran China organization but will report directly to the functional managers at the COMAC program's home office in the United States.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, or related field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years related experience in aerospace or electrical engineering design
Computer Skills:
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient working knowledge of CAD & PLM Systems
Other Skills:
• Good knowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry
• Good organization and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and cross-functionally
• Good communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Work independently and be self-motivated
• Working knowledge to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Additional Preferred Skills:
• Good knowledge of Aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA)
• Good experience with Interior design or trim & finish requirement
• Knowledge of configuration management principles and quality management system
• Fluency in Chinese and English language
• Traveling is required
• Protracted or irregular hours may be required
• Relocation to another Safran facility may be required
