Job Description

Job Title: 3PL Manager

Department & Location: Operations, S hanghai

Reporting To: L o gistics Manager, APAC

The position of 3PL Manager , would be accountable for the development and management of 3PL warehouses located in China. The role is responsible for the performance of the 3PL warehouses; and is expected to give supports on the overall business KPI improvements in relation to 3PL warehouses/logistics.

The 3PL warehouses may receive, store, repack and dispatch Church & Dwight products through general trade or cross-border channels. The 3PL warehouses may also receive components & materials from Church & Dwight contracted partners / contract manufacturers / assigned suppliers, repack them to finished goods and ship finished goods to ports or destinations.

The position may also support the development of regional 3PL service/hub.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the contracted 3PL to ensure that the appropriate warehousing facilities, pallet spaces, manual handling equipment, repacking lines and staff are available to meet the needs of the business; and the safety, quality and the regulatory requirements are being met. Making business proposals with supporting evidence for any additional resource ahead of time.

  • Working with international supply chain & logistics partners to manage rolling forecast, to ensure all shipments are carefully planned and executed to ensure customer orders are collected/delivered on-time / in-full as per their incoterms, and in line with the financial plan.

  • Managing 3PL warehouse repacking service to develop efficient work process, to ensure enough capacity, acceptable quality, target OTIF, proper inventory level and minimum costs.

  • Responsible for the stock accuracy and working with the 3PL warehouse to control the stock level.

  • Managing any rework as needed.

  • Collaborating with internal partners (international supply chain & logistics, Corporate functions, quality, R&D, purchasing, finance, demand planning, GMG, customer service) and external partners (CMs, packaging suppliers, 3PL warehouse) to ensure plans & processes are executed, exceptions are handled and risks are minimized.

  • Working with 3PL warehouse to provide needed reports, such as outbound shipments being sent with appropriate paperwork and being compliant with shipping and airfreight regulations.

  • Devising and maintaining a set of KPIs with 3PL warehouse, and conduct regular review meetings.

  • Working with relevant functions to conduct regular audit on 3PL warehouse.

  • To ensure that 3PL warehouse is compliant with Church & Dwight Value, and Corporate programs are executed as required.

  • Working with IT team for logistics interfaces with 3PL warehouse as needed

    Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree Required degree required.

  • Five years or longer of solid FMCG logistics related or warehouse management work experience.

  • Sound and reliable judgment with versatility and adaptability

  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan ahead and use initiatives.

  • Team player with good communication and collaboration skills internally and externally

  • Can be counted on for extended goals, bottom line oriented by pushing oneself and others.

  • Experience of SAP Warehouse and stock management systems is a plus

  • Fluent both in written & spoken English.

  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project

  • Willing to travel , this position requires a frequent travel requirement to warehouse locations.
