Ford Motor Company Corporate and Employee Communications Manager | 12 Month Parental Leave in Australia

*What you'll do... *

As the Corporate & Employee Communications Manager, you will report directly into the Communications Director for Australia & New Zealand and become key to enhancing the Ford brand in Australia. You will create and implement corporate and internal communications strategies to effectively engage stakeholders across multiple channels.

You’ll be an effective communicator, leading employee communication initiatives and driving community engagement in alignment with Ford's values and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The development, implementation and management of effective corporate and internal communications strategies, covering all stakeholders and channels (working with agency partners where appropriate).

  • Plan and run employee communications initiatives, including internal events, bulk mails, weekly newsletters, and internal business updates.

  • Develop and implement initiatives that promote sustainability, community engagement, and social impact, ensuring alignment with Ford's values and strategic goals.

  • Identify potential issues and develop proactive strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

  • Partner with senior leadership on communication initiatives by collaborating and crafting briefing materials, speeches, and presentations.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries, facilitating timely and accurate responses, and coordinating press releases and media events.

  • Conduct research and analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new communication opportunities and insights.

You’ll have:

  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in internal and external communications, ideally within a global company.

  • Strategic mindset with the capability and drive to manage the portfolio autonomously.

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships, engage in extensive consultation, and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Established experience in developing and executing programs or campaigns

  • Broad knowledge of and interest in the current affairs environment, Australian automotive industry and media environment.

  • A keen eye for detail, curiosity and great writing skills.

  • Ability to understand the motivations and needs of different target audiences, both internally and externally, to adapt/develop programs and resources that address those needs .
