Essentia Health Surgical Assistant - CST in Virginia, Minnesota
Job Description:
Under direct supervision and through training, provides safe and effective care to patients of all ages who are undergoing surgical procedures. Responsibilities and training include: Assisting in case and operating room preparation, patient positioning, and assisting surgeon with procedures as required; demonstrating organizational skills to ensure instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, etc., are in place; maintaining availability for on-call rotation and emergency coverage; and maintaining current knowledge on surgical procedures and technology. May perform other designated technical care relative to specialty. Experience: Experience as a Surgical Assistant or two years experience as an Operating Room/Surgical Tech.
Education Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program in Surgery Technology.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certified surgical technologist required
Two years surgical technologist experience required.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
