General Description:

The warehouse Inventory Controller is a key member of the warehouse management team responsible for overseeing the accurate tracking, monitoring, and management of inventory levels. This role involves maintaining detailed inventory records, conducting regular audits, coordinating stock movements, and ensuring inventory accuracy to support efficient regular audits, coordinating stock movements, and ensuring inventory accuracy to support efficient warehouse operations and meet customer demands.

Being a self-starter with attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential to qualities for success as a Warehouse Inventory Controller. Additionally, a commitment to safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the ability to accurately follow instructions are important aspects of this role.

Working Conditions: The Warehouse Inventory Controller position is housed at our Headquarters location at 421 South Birdneck Rd in Virginia Beach. This brand-new state of the art building is built for efficiency and comfort.

Warehouse environment, steel toe shoes required must be able to lift 70 lbs. You will be allocated your own workspace that will allow for total focus but also easy access to other team members!

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain materials by keeping them identified, located, and preserved in accordance with contractual requirements and ISO procedures.
  • Process material to be stocked, physically moving to locations, then making corresponding transactions in Costpoint to maintain location control of all material.
  • Kit material to Manufacturing Orders in accordance with Pick Lists, then enter corresponding issues in Costpoint to track the release of inventory to the production floor
  • Manage the de-kitting/re-kitting requirements to track non-conforming product as it is discovered in the production process
  • Support material accountability to include receiving, stocking, kitting, cycle counting, year-end inventory, shipping and warehousing functions
  • Process incoming Government repair assets-inventory, identification and reporting in multiple Government databases (CAV and GFP module) and Costpoint
  • Assist with material planning requirements and operations
  • Perform condition assessment of incoming material upon receipt
  • Database input on multiple levels
  • Ability to work in an energetic and fast paced environment
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with Supply Chain ISO processes and procedures

  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment

  • Forklift/Pallet jack experience
  • Deadline conscious
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of military specifications, standards and terminology
  • ISO 9001:2012 experience preferred.
