ManTech Project Manager in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager to join our team in the Virginia Beach area. This is an Onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead cloud projects supporting the NAVSEA NTA Cloud Broker

  • Provide daily project management leadership for Cloud projects

  • Define projects regarding customer requirements, schedule milestones, deliverables, and funding

  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance to develop, deliver, and sustain Cloud projects

  • Provide management with authoritative recommendations, briefings, and other formal and informal feedback and status

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate activities with functional specialists, including engineering, program control, configuration/data management, test, and operations support

  • Communicate with development/engineering teams to ensure all personnel have well-defined tasks and meet customer requirements and project execution plans

  • Develop, execute, and monitor risk management strategies to address areas of concern or potential gaps

  • Solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions

  • Work independently and receive minimal guidance

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Manager, Business Administration, or a related field

  • At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience managing technical projects for US Navy programs. Cloud project management experience preferred

  • Experience executing within the DoD acquisition system

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and an attention to detail

  • The ability to operate effectively in a distributed team environment

  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience Excel, PowerPoint, Project specifically

  • Must have Problem Solving Organization and Prioritization experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience managing cloud projects for US Navy programs

  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies

  • Experience with risk management tools and techniques

  • Familiarity with Navy acquisition policies and procedures

  • Experience with virtual team collaboration tools

Clearance Requirements :

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

  • Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
