Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager to lead IT operations and IT team in Vilnius, ensuring the smooth functioning of companies technology applications and infrastructure, and driving strategic IT initiatives to support the company/site's growth objectives. The Senior IT Manager will collaborate with site and IT leadership to align IT strategies with business goals and deliver innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Job description:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and developers, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment;

• Set clear objectives and performance expectations, ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed;

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and implementing best practices;

IT Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with Thermo Fisher Scientific's business objectives;

• Collaborate with key partners to identify technology needs, prioritize initiatives, and establish project roadmaps;

• Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge;

Operations Management:

• Oversee the efficient operation of the company's technology infrastructure, including networks, systems, and data centers with close partnership with our Infrastructure services team;

• Ensure the availability, security, and integrity of IT systems, implementing robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for local systems;

• Drive development standards with the teams to ensure the enhancement lifecycle is managed from prioritization process to implementation;

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met and cost-effective solutions are implemented.

Project and Program Management:

• Lead and oversee the successful execution of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment to timelines, budgets, and quality standards;

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout project lifecycles;

IT Governance and Compliance:

• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements;

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;

• Demonstrable experience in IT management roles, preferably in a large-scale, global organization;

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and developing impactful teams;

• Extensive knowledge of IT applications, infrastructure, systems, and operations, including Manufacturing systems, automation;

• Exposure to full lifecycle experience of complex environments with a mix of in-house developed software and off-the-shelf solutions;

• Leadership ability with a demonstrable understanding of business and technology requirements to integrate and implement solutions optimally;

• Experience in strategic planning, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, and driving digital transformation;

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;

• Good understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks;

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and influence customers at all levels.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €61 800,00–€92 700,00.
