Community Health Systems Student Nurse Extern-Emergency Services-PRN in VICKSBURG, Mississippi

Description

Under the direction of nursing personnel, the RN Extern provides patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Duties include but are not limited to personal hygiene, collection of vital signs, assist nursing and/or physician staff with procedures as needed, unit cleaning and assistance with eating.

Requirements:

  • One year of clinical coursework successfully completed.

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program with all health requirements.

  • No post-graduate commitment to another facility.

  • Evidence of TB Skin test within 6 months

  • Current BLS certification

  • Skills checklist and student participation agreement need to be completed before the first day of the program. They can be found at www.mscgw.org

  • Shifts include: 7a-7p & 7p-7a.

All attempts are made to place each student in an area & shift of their choice, however flexibility is appreciated. Your area of interests will be discussed during the interview process.
