The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system that ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, promotes safety, and supports efficient operations within the aviation business. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of safety, quality and compliance, and ensuring the organization meets its operational goals.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization's quality management system to comply with aviation industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, UK CAA, …), and company policies.
Ensure the quality management system is effectively integrated into all business processes and operations.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Stay updated on all relevant aviation regulations and standards, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies as necessary.
Champion a culture of safety and compliance across the organization, ensuring safety is prioritized in all operations and decision-making processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring safe practices are embedded in the QMS.
Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, driving initiatives to improve safety outcomes.
Provide training and guidance to employees on quality and compliance best practices.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to ensure quality and compliance are integrated into all aspects of the business.
Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Drive corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve system effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining quality systems.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in Manufacturing & Production Quality Assurance.
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills in Hungarian and in English.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
