Ginger Pop is a family-owned restaurant that draws its inspiration from Bangkok, Thailand, where our family is originally from.  Our menu offers an interpretation of our culinary experiences and journeys throughout Bangkok's many restaurants, street carts, and homes.  We often return to Thailand to renew inspiration for dishes that we can feature here with fresh, locally grown, and seasonal produce.  At Ginger Pop, we bring a sense of fun and adventure to our everyday Thai cooking. We are looking for experienced and talented Thai Specialty Cooks to work in our busy kitchen.

Job Description :

    • Prepares and cooks Thai foods using special knowledge in Thai cooking techniques and special recipes;
    • Prepares complicated and unique Thai dishes under time pressure (especially when the business has a full house);
    • At least once a month, designs, plans, develops and creates recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers;
    • Checks the quality of prepared dishes to ensure that standards are met;
    • Checks the quantity and quality of received products;
    • Designs and decorates each dish in the unique Thai style of presentation;
    • Determines production schedules and staff requirements as necessary to ensure timely delivery of services;
    • Follows standards and regulations regarding sanitary practices;
    • Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety; and
    • Checks stock levels and orders supplies.

Salary: $42,661/year

Requirement: 24 months in any occupation demonstrating Thai cooking experience (2 years of experience in Thai cooking).
