Position Summary:
Control Panel Assembly Tech is required to perform day to day functions in the department, building industrial electrical control panels in support of co-workers and customer needs for products and services provided by the company and coordinate these efforts with other company departments when needed.
Primary Duties:
- Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels.
- Build electrical panels to UL508A specifications.
- Ability to read and understand electrical codes and standards (i.e. NEC, UL, etc).
- Build assemblies to drawing specifications.
- Test and troubleshoot control panels to ensure proper functionality.
- Assemble per instructions or drawings, test, and label as required.
- Basic warehouse functions, shipping, receiving, and kitting of jobs, building pallets for shipments
- Manage appropriate documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized area and workspace.
- Make sure appropriate paperwork is filled out, as instructed.

Basic Requirements:
Experience assembling and fabricating control panels.
Knowledge of electrical wiring techniques and best practices.
Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, and specifications.
Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in control panel assembly.
General understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations governing control panel design, installation, and testing (e.g., NEC, UL 508A).
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to upholding quality, safety standard and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to perform basic functions on a laptop computer (i.e., timesheet entry, internet, email)
Utilize good communication skills and present yourself in a professional manner.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical components.
Individual must be a team player.
Must promote goodwill both internally and externally, inter-departmentally.
Maintain all company owned assets and equipment as if your own.
Individual must complete training courses as required by the company to ensure they have proper product knowledge.
Develop a working knowledge of the industries we serve.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control panel components, and industrial automation technologies.
