NY1514247 Assistant Service Manager needed for Beaton Industrial in Utica, NY.

Pay rate is $28.00 per hour.

Job purpose: The assistant service manager works in cooperation with the service manager, customer service manager, and service team to further develop and maintain an efficient model of operations within the service dept. The assistant service manager interfaces with customers on behalf of Beaton Industrial to accommodate their individual service requirements, provide service estimates for repair work, and assist with invoicing repair work. The assistant service manager works closely with his or her team of service technicians to maintain service van inventory, job scheduling, communication of the data technicians require to complete repairs, and allocation of proprietary parts and or personnel lifts required to complete repairs. The assistant service manager possesses the ability to efficiently operate various Microsoft Windows applications thus utilizing technology to enhance communication and collaboration with all departments.
The Assistant Service Manager is a core representative of Beaton Industrial. It is the Assistant Service Managers mission to provide a superior level of customer service. The Assistant Service Manager works to maximize the billable service hours and productivity of the service team.

Duties and responsibilities Works with Service Manager and Customer Service Manager to coordinate scheduling of repair service calls and scheduled inspection/PM routines. Service Manager collects pertinent details from customers to schedule incoming service calls and dispatching of service technicians to jobs throughout the day. Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor. Committed to providing a superior level of customer service. Illustrates dependability and punctuality Understands Beaton Industrial is a service provider. At times, after hours and weekend commitments are required in response to customer production needs or emergency breakdowns. As such, you acknowledge and agree to fulfill this expectation. In effort to meet or exceed departure goal of 7:30AM. Assistant Service Manager proactively allocates parts, and ensures all pertinent details of service work is communicated to service team each day. Maintains strong presence and interface with service team in effort to ensure service technicians duties and responsibilities are met. Reviews inspection reports for data entry errors and makes corrections accordingly. Compiles list of deficiencies and repair recommendations from inspection reports. Ensures parts department has the required data to complete parts layer of repair quote. Upon completion of inspection reports, Assistant Service Manager works to maintain or exceed goal of 48hous for the submission of repair quote to customer. Continues evaluation of process and procedures to identify bottle necks and inefficiency. Demonstrates the ability to support and configure IPad tablets for service team. Provides technical support to field technicians when necessary. Demonstrates efficient logistical service planning and dispatching. Maintains a dynamic service calendar with accurate and consistent data.

Qualifications include: High School Diploma or Equivalent ( College Degree in Business Management preferred) 3-5 Years Management Experience in a Professional Office Environment Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Form and pdf Creation, General Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting Suite, IPad Tablet configuration and operations, Efficient use and knowledge of internet search engines, General Knowledge of database structure and form relationships. Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate in a fast paced dynamic environment. Ability to effectively document and communicate technical repair related details. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.
