Solutions Consultant

We are looking for a Pre-sales Solutions Consultant / Sales Engineer who wants to leverage their expertise in digital quality to help customers bring higher quality digital innovations to market.

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers through both online and in-person sales efforts. Acting as a digital solutions expert for enterprise sales you will:

  • Define compelling business cases for proposed Applause solutions

  • Define and gain buy-in for customer’s desired future state

  • Configure winnable solutions from Applause’s solution portfolio

  • Develop high level implementation roadmaps of the overall solution

  • Provide/Gather all inputs needed to estimate solution costs and identify risks

  • Identify measurable outcomes to prove solution value and secure customer renewals

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Applause presentations and demonstrations,

  • Present and articulate benefits of Applause “in the wild” digital solutions,

  • Develop thought leadership perspectives to help our customers adopt best practices

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a digital quality spokesperson, promote the sales effort by helping customers identify opportunities to optimize aspects of quality in their software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Act as the Digital Quality lead, controlling the voice and message of interactions with customer technical teams executing a highly consultative selling process

  • Contribute with original, creative thinking related to solving customer issues, creating relevant features, and advancing Applause Digital Strategy

  • Passionately evangelize Applause solutions with consideration with clients current approaches, and develop digestible paths and set them on their Applause journey

  • Conduct detailed discovery and scoping that leads to the formulation of Applause Testing Programs

  • Work closely with sales to review requirements and develop value-focused proposals

  • Credibly articulate the approach, benefits, and value of integrating Applause’s professional QA community into a customer’s SDLC process

  • Actively partner with sales to create and submit winning RFPs, solution proposals and executable SOWs

  • Conduct thoughtful handoffs with the project delivery team to effectively communicate confirmed client requirements, value drivers, and the solution components to ensure long-term client success

Qualifications

  • B.S. in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years working in a fast moving pre-sales/solution architecture organization, engaging regularly with Managers, Directors, VP and C-Level personnel both internally and externally

  • Demonstrated strengths as an innovative problem solver and compelling story teller working with clients who are global, fast-moving enterprise organizations

  • Ability to quickly assess client products and development processes to build knowledge and determine quality needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with desired proficiency using common systems like MSFT Office, Salesforce, and collaboration & BI tools

  • Professional services/delivery experience desired

  • Experience with at least one of the following areas: Functional QA, Payments, UX, Accessibility/Inclusive Design, Automation, or Localization

  • Experience with value selling or challenger selling

  • Vertical specialization in key industries like Retail, B2B Software, Travel & Transportation, Financial Services, Telco Media & Entertainment, etc. is a plus

  • Self-motivated competitor with an energetic, can-do attitude

Salary Range $110,000.00- $175,000.00, plus commissions
