The Psychology department is searching for a Coordinator of Research Programs who will oversee and coordinate research activities in the lab of Dr. Caterina Gratton at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Research conducted in Dr. Gratton\'s lab focuses on brain networks and how they relate to goal-directed cognition and mental health disorders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with research conducted by the PI and PhD students in the lab, including programming studies, recruiting participants, collecting MRI and behavioral data, preprocessing MRI and behavioral data, contributing to manuscripts for publication and presentation, and team management (recruitment, training, and supervision of undergraduate Research Assistants)
  • Lab Administration - purchasing items for lab as well as working with the Psychology Procurement team on bigger purchases, assisting in submitting and implementing IRB protocols, maintaining the lab website, reading/analyzing grant reports and providing feedback to lab director regarding the reports.
  • Developing an independent program of research in collaboration with the PI and/or PhD students; taking the lead on publications and conference presentations where appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor\'s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related biology, health, or engineering field
  • Prior research experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • General lab management and human subjects regulatory information (e.g., IRB, participant payments)
  • Some computational experience (e.g., UNIX, MATLAB, or Python) and an eagerness to gain more experience

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the deadline date. The budgeted salary range for the position is \$39,051,000 to \$48,000. We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. The final salary offer will be determined through a thorough assessment of these elements. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. In addition, the candidate for this position will be expected to work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus on a full-time basis per the University\'s Workplace Flexibility policy at https://cam.illinois.edu/policies/hr-87-2/
