    Position Summary:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to perform individual contribution within the procurement team, performing supply chain analyst/buyer/planner activities including requests for quote, order placement and follow up, and cost/schedule negotiation in a business environment where material planning and execution is within a fully integrated SAP ERP system.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Issue requests for quotation to approved suppliers.

  • Place purchase orders to approved suppliers within the SAP MRP system according to stock requirements.

  • Work within the SAP MRP system to maintain lead-time, cost, and supplier delivery data.

  • Expedite and follow up on open purchase orders as required, including managing the weekly Open Order Report process.

  • Support the rest of the procurement team to ensure that Engineering Change Orders are processed in a timely manner.

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • General manufacturing process knowledge including commodities of sheet metal, turning, milling, electrical PLC-based control systems, motors, and robotics a plus.

  • Ability to learn and progress.

  • Punctuality and dependability.

  • Attention to details.

  • Have Strong Communication Skills

  • Work effectively in a team environment

  • Self-starter. Ability to identify and execute next step

    Preferred Education/Training/Experience:

  • Associates degree in related field or discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Outlook

  • Internet/Intranet
