Custom Truck One Source PRODUCTION COORDINATOR in Union Grove, Wisconsin

SUMMARY

The Production Coordinator’s role supports the outside sales team by monitoring truck builds from customer order through build completion.

The Production Coordinator will work closely with sales staff and the production department to track and communicate progress on all truck builds in the manufacturing facilities that the Production Coordinator is responsible for monitoring.

The Production Coordinator reports to the Inside Sales Manager and responds promptly to fulfill requests and provide timely information as needed. Requires a strong sense of urgency, ability to have ownership for all sales opportunities and a disposition to support others in the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Daily, compares Salesforce report to internal purchase order report to ensure all trucks ordered by customer have had parts and major components ordered.

Daily, compares internal purchase order report to production schedule report to ensure all orders are scheduled for build in shop.

Keeps own tracker of all build units.

Communicates all new activity to appropriate outside sales reps.

Spends majority of day in shops reviewing current and immediately upcoming builds, ensuring timing of completion and spec match plan.

Communicates all statuses with respective outside sales rep.

Notifies respective outside sales rep of completion. Rep is responsible for contacting logistics to arrange freight.

Reports out on status of stock units to Sales Operations Manager in preparation of monthly SIOP meeting.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Reasoning ability: Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, analyzes and interprets data; understanding and solving problems and communicating ideas and solutions to problems.

Interpersonal skills: Can communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Exceptional customer service orientation.

Ability and interest in gaining strong personal knowledge of truck and equipment issues and expanding understanding of our business.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner with dealing with the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Strong preference for three years’ experience in a sales support role in the heavy equipment/trucking industry.

Associates degree preferred.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High skill level in computer operation with competent computer skills to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to type and use word processing software with database and spreadsheet software ability highly desirable. Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, phones and fax machines. Strong knowledge of online services and internet is necessary. Must be able to be discrete with information, be observant and to make accurate assessments of observed activities and individuals. Must have initiative. Must work independently. Must possess a strong desire to learn.
