About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will manage service technicians for the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and coordinating projects. You will support training and mentoring service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures

• Maintain a positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility

• Maintain and troubleshoot building conveyor systems

• Handle and audit preventative maintenance procedures

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment

• Handle work orders with detailed supporting data

• Develop training plans for technicians

• Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets

• Ability to move up to 49 lbs

• Ability to stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience

  • 4+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience

  • 4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience

  • 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience

  • Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management

  • Experience with robotic maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

- - Experience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians

- - Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards

- - Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations

- - Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

- - Continuous improvement mindset

- - Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME

- - Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities

- - Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field

- - Experience acting in a team lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians

- - 4+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles

- - 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field

- - 2+ years of experience working with PLC based controls systems

- - 2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance

- - Project Management experience
