Job Scope:

Present a professional, competent, and welcoming image to Texas Farm Credit customers, office visitors, and callers. Develop and maintain positive customer relationships by providing quality, front-line service. Establish and continue open communication with customers to enable identification of needs and expectations. Perform entry-level general office support that may be routine in nature. Works under close supervision.

Education/Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of standard records management and file classification practices
  • General knowledge of office equipment and systems
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist office staff with various administrative duties as directed.
  2. Answer phones for offices across the Association and direct calls to the appropriate office or staff member. Additionally, perform general office duties primarily consisting of routine repetitive tasks of organizing and maintaining files and records and distributing mail or other items.
  3. Perform data entry from standardized source documents requiring accuracy with little or no interpretation of data to be entered.
  4. Operate a variety of standard office equipment according to detailed instructions, which may include paper shredders, telephones, photocopiers, printers, scanners and fax machines.
  5. Perform simple tasks such as sorting mail, answering phones and retrieving and delivering materials as requested.
  6. Present a professional, competent, and welcoming image of Texas Farm Credit to customers, office visitors, and callers. Ascertain their needs, assist them if possible, and/or direct them to the appropriate resource for assistance. Responsibilities may include answering the telephone and relaying messages to co-workers, keeping a neat and accommodating reception area, and maintaining hospitality services such as refreshments, computer, and public phone.
