Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 7:00am - 5:30pm

Job Summary: The Service Technician is the first responder to calls pertaining to repairs needed throughout the Health System, including patient rooms. The Service Technician performs basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: A valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets SFHS guidelines are required.

Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have good computer skills. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to coordinate activities with others from all levels throughout the health system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Analyze and perform basic mechanical repairs. Analyze and perform basic electrical repairs. Analyze and perform basic plumbing repairs.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.

Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
