Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leave Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of absence management processes, including Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other state and federal leave laws. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and administer employee absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, state and federal programs, bereavement and military leave.
Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors regarding leave policies and procedures.
Daily contact with employees and family members to ensure proper coordination of leave requests.
Ensure compliance with all applicable leave laws and regulations.
Coordinate with state agencies for paid leave programs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records and documentation.
Collaborate with supervisors, HR, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure seamless leave administration.
Conduct leave-related training sessions for employees and managers.
Develop and implement leave policies and procedures.
Manage complex leave cases and provide solutions.
Partner with the safety team when workers compensation cases intersect with leave.
Prepare data analytics to share with HR partners and leadership.
Conduct investigations when appropriate while working alongside HR Leaders.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leave management or related HR roles.
In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal leave laws.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficiency in HRIS and leave management software.
Certification in leave management or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.
Colorado Pay Range
$111,000-$153,000USD
