POSITION SUMMARY:

Pre-coats surfaces of inserts and/or parts to bond rubber to plastic in preparation for molding. Paints good parts with spray gun or brush. Reads work orders.

Pre-coats surfaces of inserts and/or parts to bond rubber to plastic in preparation for molding. Paints good parts with spray gun or brush. Reads work orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Applies all types of pre-coat applications using both conventional spray techniques and brushes.
• Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted
• Loads and moves materials to work area
• Reads work orders.
• Mixes paint.
• Meets quota for parts painted per hour.
• Completes labor ticket daily.
• Cleans work area.
• Performs other routine duties.
• Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Counting
• Good verbal/written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial spray painting experience
• Must be available for different shifts
• Ability to read understand and follow written instructions
• Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged standing/walking/bending/twisting/crouching/squatting
• Occasional work in confined spaces or close quarters
• Hearing
• Occasional sitting
• Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
• Forceful hand grasp
• Precise dexterity
• Reading
• Frequent lifting of at least 20 pounds
• Lifting from floor to waist/waist to shoulder
• Pushing/pulling forces up to 20 pounds
• Reaching over the shoulder/while holding objects
• Seeing to distinguish colors/prepare and analyze figures/prepare and review documents/measure and assemble at a close distance and for visual inspection
• Exposure to forklifts and power tools
• Required to wear a respirator
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
• Regularly exposed to hazardous chemicals/fumes/gases or airborne particles
• Ability to endure both hot and cold work environments
• Frequent high noise level
• Bright environment or lighting
