The Hand Solder role is unique for individuals who like to use precision hand tools and soldering components like surface mount and thru-hole.

Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools.
Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies
Basic hand soldering of surface mount, through-hole components and simple wiring
Perform basic touch ups
Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements
Familiar with soldering iron tips and chemicals
Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
Responsible for the proper handling of product and components
Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Maintain necessary records
Perform other assignments as required
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
J-STD-001 certified
Basic soldering skills
Intermediate level computer skills
Ability to read and understand engineering assembly drawings
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
Ability to build electrical and electromechanical assemblies
Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity
Ability to use tools
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
