Purpose & Scope
This is an entry level engineering position that will report to the Test Engineering Manager and is responsible for testing and documentation of new products as well as supporting manufacturing. This role will collaborate with sales, design engineering, manufacturing, and the customer to provide a solution to the customers\' testing challenges.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering analysis and apply problem-solving methods to support new product development and/or sustaining production of existing designs.
- Review designs for conformance to test procedures and test plans.
- Review test data and write test reports in support of new programs to demonstrate compliance to customer specifications.
- Interact with customers to clarify design intent and technical requirements.
- Maintain accurate, orderly project records, including design and test data, customer specifications, directives, etc.
- Provide direction and assistance on development and qualification test programs.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering OR 4 years of applicable experience as follows:
- Experience with reading hydraulic schematics and implementing hydraulic test setups.
- Experience troubleshooting setups and data acquisition issues.
- Experience working on continual improvement projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic MS Office skills.
- Self-starter who demonstrates a sense of urgency in meeting customer expectations and delivering results.
- Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Familiarity with metal forming and manufacturing methods & processes.
- Mechanical aptitude displayed through personal hobbies/projects.
- LabVIEW experience.
- Creo/Solidworks skills.
