Salary Grade: 2\ \ Pay Range\ Hiring Range:\$16.54 - \$19.43 Per Hour\ Full Range:\$16.54 - \$22.33 Per Hour\ \ Salary offers are based on the candidate\'s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.\ \ The Pima County Health Department is seeking passionate individuals to join the Cavity Free AZ Program to reach children who do not have access to regular dental care. The dental team provides preventive dental services in a 36-foot recreational vehicle that has been converted into our mobile dental unit. In this grant-funded position, Community Health Worker I (CHW), offers a variety of responsibilities such as scheduling and preparing for mobile dental clinics. The CHW is responsible for assisting with the outreach to schools, scheduling educational presentations and clinics in Sunnyside, Tucson, Amphitheater, Flowing Wells, and Marana Unified School Districts. You will work closely with schools and community partners and provide a short dental sealant education in classrooms. As part of the Oral Health team, the CHW will also assist with the daily clinic processes including chairside dental assisting. You will receive training and ongoing support to develop your dental skills.
