Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist for a patient service center in Little Egg Harbor The role involves drawing blood from patients of all ages and processing samples efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draw blood from patients of all ages, handling 150-180 sticks per day between the staff.

  • Process samples, including bagging, pipetting to transfer tubes, and pouring off urines.

  • Utilize venipuncture techniques to collect blood specimens.

  • Ensure accurate labeling and processing of specimens.

  • Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Essential Skills

  • Phlebotomy certification

  • Proficiency in blood draw and venipuncture techniques

  • Experience in healthcare settings

  • Strong blood drawing skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of phlebotomy experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with pediatric patients and all age ranges

  • Preferable to use straight needles, but flexibility to use butterfly needles if needed

Work Environment

The work environment is a busy patient service center located in Little Egg Harbor. The position requires on-site attendance from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The center experiences high patient volume, necessitating efficient and quick-paced work. Employees have opportunities for upward mobility within the network of IOPs and PSCs, and there is potential for future transfers. The center is part of a leading diagnostic lab in the country, known for its recent acquisitions and clinical research capabilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.94/hr.
